Day by Day Itinerary :

Date 1 :

Transfer in                                                                                                        Pick up at the airport. Meet and greet our English speaking guide and driver. The rest of the day is free for your own pursuits.

Date 2 :

Golden Mountain - Grand Palace – Wat Pho – Vimanmek Mansion

You will be driven directly from your hotel to the Royal Grand Palace, and view what many consider to be the number one ‘must see’ attraction of Thailand. This complex of building has been the home of royalty since the 18th century, when King Rama I moved his capital across the river from Thonburi to Bangkok. Its architecture and sculptures (including the famous Emerald Buddha) offer a breath-taking look at Thai history and tradition. Visit the Golden Mountain and Wat Pho en route. Lunch is enjoyable at Supatra River House.

After lunch you will be escorted to the world’s largest golden teakwood structure, the Vimanmek Mansion. Built in 1900 by the royal command of King Rama V, for five years it was his personal residence.

Date 3 :

Ayutthaya

You will be driven north from Bangkok to Bang Pa-In Palace, located on Bang Pa-In Island.  Originally constructed by King Prasat Thong, it is also known as the Summer Palace, and additions to the complex have been made by subsequent kings. The architecture and natural setting combine to create a beautiful and tranquil setting.

The heritage route continues with a visit to Wat Mahathat, one of Thailand’s 7 wonders. Here is the famous Buddha overgrown and covered by a fig tree, a majestic stupa, and a number of statues attesting to the greatness that was once Ayutthaya.

Your next stop is Wat Phra Si San Phet. This is the most important temple within the Royal Palace compound, the original structure which was later copied by the Emerald Buddha Temple in Bangkok. Here you will see 3 Ceylonese-style pagodas, built during the 15th century to enshrine the ashes of 3 Ayutthayan kings. Lunch is served at the local restaurant.

Next, we will drive slowly around the city which is also called named “Ayutthaya Island.” You will be amazed at the number of ancient temples which are spread throughout this area, blending the modern with the historic. Visit the one of the most important temple in Ayutthaya “Wat Yai Chai Mong Kol”. We will then drive back to Bangkok where you have the rest of the day at your own leisure.

Date 4 :

Floating Market – Kanchanaburi

We will leave Bangkok in the early morning and drive directly to Ratchaburi, the site of Thailand’s most famous floating market. Here you will find everything from fresh fruits and vegetable to a wide variety of local handicrafts. But there is more to this outing than produce and products. As a longtail boat carries you down the canal, you will be given a visual feast of local people and beautiful scenery.  Enjoy your lunch at the local restaurant.

Drive directly to Kanchanaburi , where the beauty of nature awaits you and stop at the War Cemetery; an immaculately maintained resting place for the 6,982 Allied POWs who perished during the construction of the ‘Death Railway’. Its tranquility offers an impacting contrast to the even of the war and its aftermath.

 From here it is a 10 minute drive to the bridge over River Kwai, made famous by the movie of the same name. This bridge was constructed during the wartime occupation of Thailand, when the Japanese Imperial Army transported the iron bridge from Java. It was then resembled by the Allied Prisoners of War under Japanese supervision. The bridge was part of a strategic railway route to Myanmar by which the Japanese hoped to secure supplies for the conquest other Western Asian countries.

Drive directly to Saiyoke district and you will be transferred by the long tailed boat along the River Kwai to the resort. Overnight at Kanchanaburi.

Date 5 :

Transfer to airport – Chiang Rai

Depart Kanchanaburi and drive directly to Suvannabhumi International Airport. Take the flight to Chaing Rai. Meet and greet our local guide once arrive at the airport and you will be transferred to the hotel. Rest and Relax at Golden Triangle.

Date 6 :

Chiang Sean – White Temple – Handicraft Village – Khantoke Dinner

A 20-minute drive takes us to the ancient town of Chiang Saen, built over2000 years ago. According to legend, King Singhanawat founded this community and the Nagas (mythical serpents) helped him to dig the town’s moat. Unfortunately, the town eventually collapsed and turned into a swamp. Based on the geological evidence, it is thought that the town’s destruction was caused by an earthquake which turned it into present-day Chiang Saen Lake. The many ancient ruins make Chiang Saen a unique tourist attraction, and the town offers a charming and serene atmosphere on the banks of the Khong River. It is both a scenic attraction and an impressive cultural heritage.

En route back to Chiang Mai we will stop at Wat Rong Khun, also known as the White Temple. It is the realization of a dream for Thailand’s noted artist, Mr Chalermchai Kositpipat. He designed this modernistic temple and constructed its many statues of religious-based figures. It is a truly unique and unforgettable structure.

After lunch at a local restaurant, this fascinating tour continues with a trip to the Handicraft Village. The arts and crafts showcased include silk, hand weaving, teakwood carving, silver and lacquer ware, umbrella and primitive paper making. The village is a repository not only of crafts, but also of Northern Thai wisdom and culture.

We return to the hotel, where you will have free time for your own inclinations. Then at 7 pm, delight your mind and stomach with an exceptional Northern Thai dinner show. Highlights include the charming Fon-lep (finger dance), the graceful Fon tien (candle dance), and the arresting sword dance. Also featured are traditional Thai and hilltribe dancing.

Date 7 :

Chiang Dao Elephant Camp – Orchid farm – Doi Suthep

Depart morning to the very famous elephant camp. You will be amazed with the skilled, well trained and gifted elephant show. Enjoy the elephant show and take the elephant riding into the hilltribe village. Enjoy your day with the plenty beautiful orchid.

A 30-minute drive to the famous mountain, Doi Suthep. Here we visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, a cultural landmark that rises scenically above its forested backdrop. This temple is 3,520 feet above sea level, and dates from 1383. It is approached by foot, climbing an ornate naga staircase of 290 steps. Its famous pagoda contains holy Buddhist relics, and attracts pilgrims from all over the world. The temple compound offers an exhilarating view of Chiang Mai city and the surrounding countryside.

Date 8 :

Transfer to Chiang Mai airport – Phuket 

Transfer to Chiang Mai international airport. Take the flight to Phuket.

Meet and greet our local guide and you will be escorted to the hotel. Rest and Relax at the hotel.
